At RAAYA by Atmosphere, we believe that even the smallest steps towards sustainability can create significant and lasting impact on our environment. Much Like the waves that shape our shores, our sustainable practices nurture a future where nature and our resort thrive together — a paradise preserved to inspire joy for generations to come. At RAAYA, sustainability is woven into everyday life, from solar-powered villas and water recycling to reef restoration and plastic-free initiatives. Every thoughtful choice reflects our commitment to protecting the island’s beauty and ensuring it continues to flourish — naturally, responsibly, and endlessly.
By treating and repurposing wastewater for irrigation, we are able to conserve a considerable amount of potable water. This sustainable practice reduces the demand on freshwater resources, ensuring that more clean water is available for essential uses.
As part of our commitment to a greener future, we’ve partnered with Swimsol, a leader in solar innovation, to bring clean energy to your stay. Right now, 693 kW of solar power is being produced at Raaya by Atmosphere — enough to fully power 277 villas with clean tropical sunshine. This solar energy prevents 187 litres of diesel from being burned every hour and avoids around 494 kg of CO₂ emissions — equivalent to the emissions from a 2,340 km car drive — every hour.
By adhering to the standards of Green Globe certification, we demonstrate our unwavering commitment to sustainable tourism practices. This prestigious certification validates our comprehensive approach to environmental conservation, social responsibility, and cultural preservation, ensuring that every aspect of our operations meets international sustainability benchmarks.
